Fly ash environmental protection material

The use of fly ash as an environmental material in pollution control mainly includes the following five aspects:

Active SiO2 and active Al2O3 in fly ash undergo hydration under alkaline conditions, and can be used as adsorbents to remove SO2, NOx, Hg and gaseous organic compounds in flue gas;

In terms of wastewater treatment, the use of fly ash can remove heavy metal cations, phosphorus and fluoride anions, organic pollutants, etc. in wastewater;

Fly ash can purify water and gas through chemical treatment to synthesize zeolite, and can also be used as an adsorbent and catalyst carrier. This is the development direction of high-value and resource utilization of fly ash.

In terms of sludge utilization and soil remediation, fly ash can increase the pH value of acidic soil, reduce the conductivity of soil and the availability of heavy metals;

The new process of using fly ash to prepare DeNOx additives to reduce NOx emissions in the FCC regeneration process opens up a new way for the utilization of fly ash resources and provides theoretical support for the pollutant control technology in the FCC regeneration process.

1. Fly ash air pollution control material

Active SiO2 and active Al2O3 in fly ash undergo hydration under alkaline conditions, and a small amount of MgO, Na2O, and K2O will promote the alkali-silicon reaction in the hydration reaction. During the hydration reaction, a large number of hydroxyl groups will appear on the surface of fly ash particles, making them have significant hydrophilicity, adsorption and surface chemical activity. Therefore, fly ash can be used to prepare materials for removing SO2, NOx, mercury and gaseous organic aromatics, and at the same time realize the resource utilization of fly ash in environmental materials and the control of gas pollutants.

4. Fly ash sludge treatment and soil restoration materials

As an alkaline stabilizer, fly ash can eliminate or significantly reduce the pathogen content in sludge; after mixing fly ash with high pH value with sludge, it can also significantly increase the pH value of acidic soil and the contents of Ca, Mg, and B content, reducing the electrical conductivity of the soil and the availability of heavy metals. Applying the appropriate proportion and amount of fly ash passivated sludge can significantly improve the physical properties of the soil and increase the nitrogen and phosphorus nutrients of the soil.

5. Fly ash DeNOx additive

Using fly ash as raw material, zeolite was directional controlled by adding polymer templates, and then prepared by impregnation method into highly efficient DeNOx additives loaded with metal active components such as Ce, Mg, Cu, etc., which were applied to NOx removal in FCC regeneration process.
